As a highly sensitive person, nervosity is real. For the HSP anxiety can feel intense and overwhelming. Still, despite my nerves, my friends and family members would all describe me as calm and composed. These are my HSP hacks and this is my HSP survival guide.

Being rushed

HSPs perform worse in quick-paced and stressful environments. So don’t let people rush or pressure you too much.

Step one is to learn to recognise when you are stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed. Unresolved negativity can be detrimental to your health, so check in with yourself multiple times a day. How am I doing?

Secondly, find a comfortable way to sit, breathe, and to relax. Think about ways to manage negative emotions and stress and ways to unwind. What do you do and where do you go to unwind?

Highly stressful and toxic environments can hit you harder as a HSP. Try to avoid negative situations that aren’t constructive to your health, well-being and long-term success. You may need to do difficult and hard things in life, but save your batteries for healthy challenges and conflicts.

To avoid becoming rattled, prioritise what situations and what information is most important to handle. That means prioritising between goals, work, and relationships, and setting boundaries for yourself on what you expect from yourself – and how quickly you need to get there.
