8 Keys To A Miserable Life
So often, we chase what I call “survival needs”—the shallow illusions of happiness—instead of our true, deep human needs. We think we’re pursuing something that will make us happy, but we end up feeling more empty and alienated than before.

In this video, I explore the eight keys to misery. These are the traps that disguise themselves as worthy goals:

The Need to Be “Unique” instead of embracing your genuine Autonomy.

The Need for Perfection instead of allowing yourself to be Creative.

The Need for Approval instead of seeking real Connection.

The Need for Control instead of finding a sense of Purpose.

The Need for Attention instead of giving yourself the love you need for true Connection.

The Need to Be Busy instead of having real, present Experiences.

The Need to Be the Best instead of focusing on personal Learning and growth.

The Need to Be Entertained instead of engaging in active, joyful Play.

I wonder, which of these traps do you see most often in the world around you, or maybe even in yourself? We’ve all been caught in the endless scroll for entertainment or felt the pressure to be perfect. It’s part of being human.

But my philosophy is that we have a choice. We can choose to be aware of these traps and actively pursue the things that lead to a life of meaning, joy, and self-realization. We can choose love. We can choose happiness.

Thanks for watching, and I hope this helps you on your journey.

See you in the next one,
Erik
