Hi everyone, it’s Erik Thor here. My goal through my writing is to challenge the ego’s idea of fixed types or identities, to instead inspire a wave of personal growth outside of traditional boxes and stereotypes.

A Stranger Told Me To Find Myself By Going To The Arctic – Street Philosopher Ep 3
Kristoffer has worked across the world. He believes that, though we are born with a basic personality, we also make ourselves through our experiences. So if you want to find yourself? Go out and live your life. You’ll find out on the way.

In this episode of Street Philosophy, I wander the streets of Uppsala and have a conversation with Kristoffer , a man with a rich and varied life story. We explore one of the biggest questions we can ask ourselves: How do you find out who you are?

Christopher’s answer is simple yet profound: through experiences. By meeting different people, immersing ourselves in nature, and being open to the world, we begin to connect with our inner selves. This resonates deeply with the ideas I explore in my upcoming book, “The Age of Actualization,” particularly the fundamental human needs for Connection and Experience. As I write in the book, “We need experiences to feel alive. Touch, feel, smell the roses, the fruits. All around you there are beautiful things.” Kristoffers story is a beautiful example of this.

This series is all about peeling back the layers of the “onion of personality” and discovering the depth that exists in everyone. Itโ€™s about understanding that we are not fixed entities, but are constantly being shaped by our interactions with the world.

What are your thoughts on this? How do you connect with yourself and find out who you are? Share your experiences in the comments below. Iโ€™d love to read them.

The Age of Self-Realization

My upcoming book, The Age of Self-Realization, will help you understand how to reframe your ego and change your mental model of yourself to see beyond personal limitations and assumptions. Move from personal preferences to personal values, and find who you are meant to be, not what you think you “should be.”
