Privacy Policy

At Personalitopia, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you take our personality tests, complete worksheets, or subscribe to our newsletter, and how you can manage or delete this information.

1. Data We Collect and How We Use It

We collect only the information necessary to provide you with personalized personality profiles, track your self-realization progress, and send you relevant updates. The specific categories of data we track include:

  • Personality Test Submissions: When you complete one of our psychometric tests (such as the Enneagram, Cognitive Functions, or MBTI tests), we record your scores, brackets data, completion date, IP address (used only for region validation and fraud prevention), and your country. If you opt-in to save your results or enter optional demographics, we also record your email address and gender.
  • Worksheet Telemetry: For logged-in users completing self-reflection worksheets, we track progress, milestone completions, trait mapping configurations, and written responses to journaling prompts. This telemetry data is saved to help you reflect on your goals over time.
  • Newsletter Subscriptions: If you subscribe to our newsletter, we save your email address, name, signup source (e.g., test completion), country, preferred language, and behavioral tags based on your personality profile. We also maintain an outbound mail queue, log email delivery status, and record any conversational replies you email directly to us, including AI-driven styling guidelines for welcome sequences.
  • Core Account Profiles: For registered members, we store standard WordPress login credentials (username, email, password hashes) and membership subscription levels.

2. Cookies and Local Storage

We rely on small data files (cookies) stored on your browser to keep our site running smoothly and remember your choices. We categorize these cookies as follows:

  • Necessary Cookies (Always Active): Essential for core website operations.
    • WordPress authentication cookies (wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_*) to keep you securely logged in.
    • User interface and administrator settings preferences (wp-settings-*).
    • Language settings (_wp_wpml_language) to serve pages in your preferred language.
    • Consent cookie (personalitopia_cookie_consent) to remember your privacy choices.
  • Analytics Cookies: Optional cookies (e.g., Google Site Kit/Analytics) that measure traffic patterns to help us evaluate the usability of our test modules and articles. These are disabled unless you explicitly consent to them in the cookie banner.
  • Marketing & Outreach Cookies: Optional cookies used to pace automated newsletter deliveries and track campaign click-through rates.

3. Data Deletion and the Right to Be Forgotten

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data at any time. We support this right via a fully automated self-service system:

  • Self-Service Erasure Portal: If you have a registered account, you can visit our Delete Account Page to immediately purge your data.
  • What is deleted: Your WordPress user account, membership levels, saved goal worksheets, telemetry records, newsletter subscriber history, mail queue logs, and email correspondence logs are permanently and completely wiped from our server.
  • What is anonymized: To protect the scientific integrity of our personality research database, your completed test scores, question answers, and comment listings are anonymized rather than deleted. We permanently purge your email address, IP address, and user ID associations from these records. This leaves only anonymous, aggregate psychometric data that can no longer be traced back to you.
