INTJ DEATH STARE. The INTJ personality type has been known to look mean at times, but are they kinder than the stereotypes give them credit for? Today we’re taking a look at the look of the INTJ. What is the secret behind the INTJ gaze and the INTJ death stare?

The INTJ Gaze Explained

INTJs don’t always look unfriendly, more commonly, it’s that their resting face can look cold. INTJs in their natural state are focused, detached, and highly rational in their process. As an INTJ you try to regard the world as it is without adding your own feelings to the equation. This is in part because of the INTJ cognitive functions.

INTJs observe the world in a cold, pragmatic fashion. They try to regard people without bias. For people who want reassurance and who are looking for approval, the INTJ approach can appear cold. Why are they not giving me a smile? Why are they so cold? Did I do/or say something wrong? But often, there’s no reason to worry.

The INTJ is not annoyed with you. They’re just curiously analysing a situation and trying to stay objective and impartial in their reasoning. They do this in order to stay on target with goals. The INTJ seeks to maintain a scientific approach. It’s more likely that you are not in their mind at all. Instead, the INTJ is focused on visualising a goal or project and diagnosing a situation cooly. Beneath the cold exterior, the INTJ tends to hide deeper values and warm intentions.

Often, INTJs have deeply emotional associations to their ambitions. They seek success because they seek Identity through Introverted Feeling. Often, the INTJ wants to matter and have a purpose in the world. INTJs have intense and deep values associated with their quests. There is a fine line to walk between right and wrong in the name of your goals, but the healthy INTJ seeks to walk this line.

The INTJ Death Stare

That said, INTJs are more than capable of looking at you with eyes of strong disapproval, anger, and coldness. INTJs can be highly competitive and enjoy a good test of wits. What INTJs take issue with is what they perceive as cheats. INTJs struggle with people who are fake.

People who lie, break rules, or ignore ethical considerations in their goals and aspirations. As an INTJ, you live by a sense of honour. The ethical system of the INTJ is based on honour and on playing by the agreed upon rules of the game. INTJs can’t stand a cheat. While as an INTJ, you respect people that follow the rules, You won’t fault people for beating you.

The INTJ Death stare is not just turned against anyone. You wield the INTJ death stare as a way to give judgement to people who you feel lack honour, integrity or basic trustworthiness. INTJs have the kind of eyes that are trained at making you second guess yourself. When an INTJ looks at you, it is easy to lose your resolve. What am I doing actually? Is this me?

Am I doing the right thing? Beyond that, the INTJs gaze is like a promise. You know that if you proceed, you will face retribution. The INTJ is going to make you face the consequences of your actions in order to make you see the error of your ways. Because ultimately, the INTJ Death Stare is about making you face judgement and to remind you. that actions have consequences. We are not living in a lawless world where people can simply do what they please. We all have to submit to some standards and laws. And INTJs represent principle, logic, reason, control, and a desire to aim high while accepting law and justice in the name of your ambition.
