Erik Thor's MBTI Flow Code Explained, 16 personalities flow, mbti flow, mbti hero code

Take my personality test

Start by taking my personality test to get introduced to the different personality types, how they think, act, and make decisions. Learn about the scales and cognitive functions and how they influence your thought process and values.

How The Flow Code Works

I study personality psychology not just as a means to categorise people into types but to understand what every individual finds to be important and meaningful in life. Everyone has different interests, hobbies, and passions in life.

Many live life looking to what other people want from them. It is easy to get lost and to just conform to the norms of your society or workplace. We have become conditioned to act and think in a certain way. Often, this conditioning can slowly make us sad. We can feel drained, exhausted, stressed trying to live up to all the different expectations the world can have on us. The MBTI Flow Code can help us reconnect with ourselves.

Finding your personality type means escaping from this conditioning and reducing stress in your life, so that you can live a more free and happy life. I use various methods to help people identify their type, but most importantly, I focus on what people enjoy, helping people rediscover their interests and values in life.

Becoming your own hero

The goal of the flow code is to help you become the hero and protagonist of your own story. Start on the hero’s journey.

You may find that you lack the talents to excel at being yourself. You’re not good enough to do what you love or to make it. So what can you do to get started on developing the skills that will help you become successful in your passions? The MBTI Flow Code can help you understand that.

Perhaps you lack the courage to be yourself. Many fear judgement and are ashamed of who they are. You might think that your interests are stupid, and so you stay quiet. You may think your values are dumb, and so you let other people cross them. You might think your goals are impossible – so you never try. What can you do to get more confidence in yourself?

What I can do is help you get started – but you will have to cross the bridge yourself.

How the flow code has helped me

The MBTI Flow Code has made me a more balanced and harmonious person. Where I would often push myself to the limits in the past, exhausting myself in order to please others, I am now better able to speak out for myself and to maintain my own boundaries.

The flow code has also helped me become more understanding of others. In the past, I would get annoyed that other people were different and thought about life differently than me. It could even make me insecure. Now, I am better at reconciling these differences and finding ways for both of us to thrive together.

The MBTI Flow Code has helped me pursue a lifestyle and career that will make me happy. Instead of chasing down success in the most stereotypical way, I allow myself to have my own quirks and differences. What I want may ot be what you want, but the most important thing is it will bring me fulfilment.

Hey Erik, please don’t be offended but literally everyone is mistyped and even Harry has something wrong. I think a lot of infps are actually si dominants. this mistyping even in CPT extends to ISFPs, istjs, intjs, esfps, ESFJs, Please read a blog called “akhromant” on Tumblr. You guys are the closest to correct but it could be better
All the cognitive functions are wrong and the dichotomies including j and p should be based on the first functions, but Myers changed the test results so she would get a p rather than a j. She was actually fi ni.
So now infps would get an infj score vice versa. And now judging dominant traits are given to percieving dominants. And we think that the dichotomies don’t map to the functions which they do. Ixxps are now known as judging dominants. It’s actually true that if theyre perceiving in dichotomies then they’re percieving dominants too. Where did jung say that judging only counts when extroverted??
He thinks you’re Ne Fe by the way (enfp). Although Frank James is definitely si fi (interviews) but he typed him ne fe so it’s suspect lol.
Fi dominant isn’t describing actual Fi, they are typing mostly ixfps, who are perciever types. So si and ni dom. The istj stereotype is most likely describing a ti si type or some variety of fi si type (I think that’s who harry is describing as fi possessive when it’s actual fi dominant) or even te ne. It’s describing a judging dom, and SJ temparament. EXXJs should be parallels of IXXJs but infps are judging dominants but are not this parallel at all. It’s because they are a percieving dominant. An ixxp type.
The visibility of Ne and possibly Se in ixfps is because they’re percieving types and therefore are more random and structurless (think enfps vs estjs). Pe is more free and comes up randomly and doesnt have a bottleneck stopping it. judging doms have their percieving functions for honing things down and getting to a goal.
Excerpts from the blog
[His definitions]
Te (external difference): ’determined’ is tangibly distinct, distinguishable.
Ti (internal difference): ’identified’ is independent from the object.
Fe (external concordance): ’shared’ is tangibly common, agreed or agreeable.
Fi (internal concordance): ’good’ is independent from agreement.
Se (external presence): ’present’ is tangibly real, perceptible by the senses.
Si (internal presence): ’useful’ is independent from the current presence.
Ne (external absence): ’possible’ is tangibly elective, eligible, followable.
Ni (internal absence): ’true’ is independent from choice.
[J/p]
“- Js derive and interpret experiences (states and possibilities) (X2) from the standpoint of principles (X1) = they are principled. Their composites of meaning have judgment as a basis, and perception as an accessory.
– Ps derive and interpret principles (limits and harmonies) (X2) from the standpoint of experience (X1) = they are empirical. Their composites of meaning have perception as a basis, and judgment as an accessory.”
the “emotional scientist” quality that harry talked about is actually si dominance with fi concretising it through a moral perspective and it turns into this big cycle of inner science of trying to isolate things, find something optimal/kindness/source/understanding/purity/adaptation/intent/nuance. It’s more about discovering inner interactions than the equivalent of Fe, which sees the world through a more responsible, correction lens. A judging dominant is an overseer/corrector, like an Fe dominant, it is based on management. The infp puts a lot more decision making into a situation, more slow to react.
[Doesn’t this sound exactly like Infps:]
Some ISPs (Si1//Ne4) keep doing the same thing over and over, as if they didn’t realize (or mind) that it’s getting them nowhere. They might see lots of options, but feel unable to choose [a different] one. An example of this would be the famous “tortured artist” stereotype, prolific but also very often the subject of some kind of substance addiction. What ISPs do tends to be useful in one way or another, and show careful attention, although sometimes there’s a kind of quietly tragic or desperate air to it. I think some of them can feel unlucky, detached from the course of history, and/or imagine themselves living alternative/impossible ones.
[Compared to Ne dom:]
Some ENPs (Ne1//Si4) go in a completely random way from one thing to another, as if they didn’t have a stable point of view. They are so absorbed by the turning of the stones, that they don’t even see what’s under them. What I mentioned here about ENTPs being very good at presentation can be understood as their identification with the “promises of the future”, or something like that. Many [famous] ENPs probably feel that they are the embodiment of progress itself, especially in the sense of “necessary advance”. One of the problems here is that there might be a lot of movement but very little patience or actual care for anyone. Si4 can manifest as impossible sensations.
Yeah cognition can explain it a little. This is partly the cause of the infp depression.
[More from his blog:]
four ETs (= conscious Te), for example, have “practical intelligence”, so their work is the most productive in a developmental/complexity sense, and/or in scale/impact. They are the best at trying/knowing/relying on what works in the physical world (physics, techniques, formulas, etc).
All four EFs (= conscious Fe) have what you could call “social intelligence”, so they are better than other types when it comes to manners, meetings, diplomacy, and everything related to approaching, involving, organizing and dealing with [groups of] people. Within this general idea they vary in the hierarchical sense, among others.
All four ITs (= conscious Ti) have “critical intelligence”, and this makes them the most capable of following/setting up internal standards and practical rules/theories (which can be more or less personal). They are the most skeptical/critical when others don’t seem to understand, work on, or find solutions for [their own] problems.
All four IFs (= conscious Fi) have “inner intelligence”, which makes them the best at considering decisions related to personal authenticity/responsibility, from an independent and/or moral perspective. They are the most skeptical/critical of the real intentions and implications behind different choices/behaviors
So yeah just because “istjs” don’t seem to be overly feely doesn’t mean they aren’t. Same for intj. Outer appearances don’t explain much which has been seen now with so many people from different types being typed with different functions.
Infps see internal experience through a moral lens which is actually the cause of a lack of stable identity.

“fi si” loop “Infp” example: is actually si fi. If you see in the actual jung book si dominants get into abusive relationships often.

there is no mistype mystery. and the comments are doing you a disservice, gleaning parts for use, having a mental breakdown, making it a hodgepodge of self serving. there are much better links, and you should go through redshoes and online resources yourself. those show the true arrangements of the functions. no way you are an Ni dominant, and you are primarily interacting with and gleaning from the outside world using Fe. according to the true cognitive functions, as well as vultologically, (you are at the very least a Pe base) you arent the type you claim to be. there is more flexibility in functions than akhromant says for example FiTe types who have not fully developed and reverse development, due to trauma but you are very clearly a healthy enfp. Despite flexibility functions tend to fall into pairs as an equilibrium (ne si and fe ti being in a pattern).
the flow code isnt a typology system, this is a self serving mixture of typology and self aggrandisement which leads to tribalism. theres elements of typology mixed in to use as a supportive way of saying ‘you can do it!’ or as support for self help, or to say that you are in a special group of misunderstood people. Accuracy is sometimes stressed when trying to romanticise or promote an exclusive special group or exclude people and promote himself.
